The Conference Spaces

In order to foster new and inventive ideas, iMAGINE Alexandria will provide fresh, unconventional spaces bursting with creative energy for meetings, conferences and events. These intensely creative rooms will be a destination for think-tank meetings, retreats, and the like. There is an unmistakable benefit to working within the latest technologies which will fuel the imagination and inspire new ways of thinking, blazing new trails and pushing to the next level. Every square inch will be designed to be different from what you would normally experience.

The facilities will be split up into multiple spaces, designed to host meetings as small as two people or a reception for five hundred. Each facility will have cutting-edge technologies to ensure that all audio/ visual needs are met, with equipment built in to reduce costs.

Food and beverage services will be provided by a select list of qualified third-party vendors, providing a choice for visitors to the facility, while allowing for a high level of quality and reliability.

Currently the City of Alexandria cannot accommodate a reception larger than 200-250 people and is losing conference business for that reason. This is the only facility in the current stages of design that could help to handle the larger demands of conferences upwards of 500 people thereby bringing larger trade conferences to the City of Alexandria.

The creative space will cater to the performing arts community. Area bands, independent filmmakers, and thespian societies would have a venue to show off their talents.

In addition, the facility will also draw visitors from the National Harbor complex, providing an alternate meeting place for conference attendees and thereby bringing more visitors to the City of Alexandria.

Financing for this for-profit pillar of the iMAGINE complex will be provided through facility rental fees, catering fees (commissions from the approved vendors), A/V rental fees and facilitator fees.
